The New Zealand Calligraphers is a non-profit group of calligraphers, lettering artists and people who share a love of creating beautiful words and letters.
Where possible members are encouraged to attend the Society’s monthly meetings. From 2017 meetings will be on the first Sunday of each month to allow members outside of Auckland to join in. Meetings are a social, friendly affair and usually feature guest speakers or a workshop.
Sunday 1st October
We hope you can join us at our next meeting on Sunday 1st October from 3pm – 5pm.
Bring your Calligraphy Journal if you have one, otherwise Zeta pad or good paper, and a quote/words to write. We will be utilising the new scripts we have recently learned (Versals and Pointed Pen Uncial) and writing something into the journal we started earlier in the year. Dale-Cormack Pearson will also show us some ideas for little designs/flourishes that can be used to fill empty spaces.
Bring usual Calligraphy gear and $10 to cover costs.
WHERE: Gifford Gallery, 27a Poronui St, Mt Eden
DATE: Sunday 1st October
TIME: 3pm – 5pm
The cost per meeting covers venue hire, some materials, tutor fees, tea and coffee.
FUTURE MEETING DATES
Sunday 5th November – Old English Calligraphy Workshop
Sunday 3rd December – Christmas Party
